InViro Labs.

Founded by Arya Bari, Marlene Bucher, and Vicky Kuang, InViro Labs is an independent research collective based in Toronto.

Proactive Biology over Reactive Technology

MISSION

InViro Labs is a student-led research collective developing geospatial mapping systems to visualize infectious disease emergence at the clinical level. We apply unique predictive methods to identify potential outbreaks before they spread to the general population. This work will provide NGOs and health policy makers with the tools they need to anticipate and respond to public health crises.

PROJECTS

Our team is developing a data-driven mapping platform to predict infectious disease outbreaks in high-risk regions. This research is currently being formalized through a systematic review as we prepare our registration for the PROSPERO database.

ADVISORY BOARD

InViro Labs is guided by a multidisciplinary advisory board that bridges the gap between engineering and virology. Our advisors include Dr. Lindsey Fiddes, an Assistant Professor (Teaching Stream) at the University of Toronto’s Institute of Biomedical Engineering (BME), and Dr. Natasha Christie-Holmes, the Director of Strategy & Partnerships at the Emerging and Pandemic Infections Consortium (EPIC). Their combined expertise ensures that our research into infectious disease indicators is technically sound, ethically rigorous, and strategically positioned for real-world impact.
